Frugal Travel: Experiencing Vegas on a Budget

When planning a family vacation to Las Vegas, there are many activities and attractions that can be enjoyed without spending a fortune. Here are some great, free things to do in Las Vegas with your family!

Explore Fremont Street. This popular, pedestrian-only street features the popular Viva Vision light show and offers family-friendly entertainment such as live music, zip-lining, and street performers. You can also shop the vintage stores or browse the outdoor vendors.

Take in the view at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Everyone loves getting a picture taken with this iconic sign, which was created in 1959. There are also several family-friendly activities to do nearby.

Go shopping at The Grand Canal Shoppes. This open-air shopping center offers an Italian-themed environment and lots of stores to browse. Plus, it is right in the center of the Strip.

Enjoy the Bellagio Fountains. From 3pm to 8pm on the weekends, enjoy a free show with music, lights, and of course, plenty of water.

Take in a concert or show. Even though some of the bigger concerts can be costly, there are lots of free and lower-cost options for smaller performances in Las Vegas. Just check out the entertainment calendars for your hotel or check out a show or two at the casinos.

Visit the downtown Arts District. Take in some local artwork at the galleries and explore the many street murals. Plus, it's an exciting experience for kids as well.

So next time you plan a family trip to Las Vegas, there are plenty of fun and free things to do with your family! Enjoy!
