Cozy Chic: Embracing Comfort and Style in Autumn

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

Autumn is here and so are the latest fashion trends! Here’s a rundown of some must-have items for your fall wardrobe and a few things you should avoid.

Do:

1. Turtleneck sweaters - Keep it cozy with this season’s must-have item. Pair it with jeans or leggings for a chic yet comfy look.

2. Ankle boots - These versatile shoes can dress up or down any outfit. Perfect for when the weather is too cold for sandals but not quite ready for knee-high boots.

3. Faux or Real leather - Leather skirts and jackets are all the rage this season. Go for a vegan option to save some cash and protect the environment.

4. Animal prints - This year’s fall runways were filled with animal prints, so don’t be afraid to incorporate some into your wardrobe. Just make sure to keep it classy and not go overboard

5. Plaid - Nothing screams fall more than a classic plaid shirt. Dress it up or down, and you’ll always look chic.

Don’t:

1. Crop tops - Although they might be perfect for summer, it’s best to put away those belly-baring shirts and opt for a cozy sweater.

2. Overly distressed denim - A few holes are acceptable, but try to avoid looking like you’ve gone through a warzone.

3. Anything neon - Bright colors might have been perfect for the summer sun, but they’re a little out of place once the leaves start to change colors.

4. Tube tops - These 2000’s-era staples should be left in the past. Not only are they outdated, but they’re also impractical in cooler weather.

5. Thin or sheer clothing - The days of lightweight tanks and sundresses are long gone. It’s time to bundle up and break out the thicker fabrics.

In conclusion, this autumn, stay comfortable yet trendy with a turtleneck sweater, ankle boots, faux leather, animal prints, and plaid. However, avoid crop tops, overly distressed denim, anything neon, tube tops, and thin or sheer clothing. Remember, always be fashion-forward but also practical.
